Celso Bianchello del Metauro Superiore from Guerre is an aromatic, fresh and spicy white wine made from the local grape variety Bianchello, also called Biancamo. The grape is only found in the small wine region of Urbine and Pesaro close to the Italian central east coast. This straw-yellow coloured wine has wonderful aromas of white flowers, citrus fruit, peach and aromatic herbs and the palate is rich in yellow apple, grapefruit and spice, balanced with a lively acidity and a full and creamy structure and mouthfeel. It is quite versatile with a wide food paring range and goes well with salads, vegetarian dishes, seafood and white meat. Serve it for instance with oven baked chicken with lemon and rosemary. Serve the wine at 7-9° C for a fresher experience or at 10-12° C to bring out the more exotic fruity flavours and to add more body to the wine. The name Celso is a homage to the ancestor Celso Guerrieri, the proud, serious and hard-working farmer who planted the very first vineyard at the Guerrieri estate at the beginning of the 20th century.
Azienda Agraria Guerrieri is a family estate in the Marche region on the central eastern coast of Italy, close to the charming city of Pesaro. The family has produced high-quality wine, olive oil, cereal, pasta and honey for 6 generations since 1800. The Guerrieri motto is sustainable production with great respect for nature and the environment, by avoiding chemicals in their fields, using only vegetal nitrogen fertilization, and planting cover crops between the rows of vine. They are also fully self-sufficient in clean energy from their own solar panels.
