The Grande Brut de Réserve is one of our best-selling champagnes! Made mostly with the fruity Meunier grape with Chardonnay adding freshness and Pinot Noir body, this non-Vintage dry Champagne is a light lemon-salmon colour and has fruity, flowery aromas. Rich and full-bodied with a sensual mousse, its dry Brut character means it pairs well with charcuteries and cheese boards, seafood, light game and meats.
With a Gold Medal in the esteemed Mondial de Bruxelles 2020 and a star in Guide Hauchette des Vins 2020/2021, Joly’s Grand Brut de Réserve is one of our most popular Champagnes. Joly is one of the leaders in the region for organic farming so only the purest fruit goes into this fine Champagne. A blend of wines from three exceptional vintages, it has lovely complexity and a delicate structure. Malolactic fermentation and lees ageing add body, creaminess, texture, and hints of brioche. This is fantastic Champagne for any celebration so make sure you have a bottle chilled and ready to pour! Santé!
Situated in the village of Troissy in the renowned Marne Valley in northern Champagne, it’s no surprise that the house of Joly focuses mostly on Meunier, the grape that is widely planted in these parts and adds bright berry notes to every bottle of bubbly! Joly also cultivates Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, the two other famous varieties that go into a glass of Champagne. A family winery passed through five generations, Joly combine centuries of traditional methods of the iconic region with up-to-date approaches like organic farming to make fruity, finessed, creamy Champagne that has won the hearts (and palates!) of thousands of local consumers as well as restaurateurs and wine trade professionals.
Located in a panoramic landscape of picturesque rivers, woodland, and rows of vines, a walk around the Joly estate is an enchanting experience for Champagne lovers. Forty-five vineyards cover 14 hectares across the premium slopes of Troissy, Verneuil, Chatillon-sur Marne, and Mareuil le Port. The village of Troissy complements a deeply-rooted regional wine history with monuments and sites that tell the tale of the area.
Today, Remy and Patricia Joly, and children Aurélien and Maximilien are carrying on the family tradition, combining knowledge from viticultural and oenological studies to decades of hands-on experience. Affiliated to the Charter of the National Confederation of Private Cellars, the result is pure excellence.
